COACHES / TRAINERS
Following the formation of the Coaches Commission at the 2005 annual meeting of the General Council, in Blackpool; England, the Management Committee, of the Commission, have been busy with the many tasks involved in consolidating the future of the Commission. The intention of the Management Committee is to make the WDC Coaches Commission an active and productive addition to the Professional world of dance.
One of the main aims of the Commission is to protect and improve the quality of Competitive Dancing through education and instruction for all Dance Professionals. To this end the members have found time within their busy personal schedules to meet regularly before or after major events.
The first Congress was be held in Tokyo, Japan on 27th February 2006. The theme was 'How to listen to Music'.
This was followed by a Competitive Dance Congress on 3rd May 2006 in Guildford, Surrey, organised by the Ballroom Dancers Federation.
A second Congress was be held in Tokyo, Japan on 26th February 2007 and Congresses have been held there annually since that date.
Congresses have been held throughout the world in locations such as Japan , Taiwan , Austria and USA.
